  • Preceptorship Overview

  • Month One

Time to meet with your preceptor and make a plan. This may feel overwhelming for you both but don’t worry there is support. Now is the best time to sign and agree your preceptorship contract.

  • Month Three

Things are moving on nicely – it’s a good time to review your learning and your folder so far. Are there any learning opportunities you are missing?

  • Month Six

    Review time

This is a great time for reflection. What have you achieved so far? What are you missing? Make a clear plan for the final six months.

  • Month Nine

Time to make sure you’re on track. Make sure you have reflected on observed and unobserved practice. If you are missing anything crucial agree this now.

  • Month Twelve – Sign-off

You did it – well done

Time to celebrate the journey you have been on. Don’t forget it doesn’t stop now and maintain your portfolio ready for any HCPC audits.
